Happy Juneteenth Fam!
At this circle, we'll be talking about Juneteenth and about the Reparations we're due as Black people . Together, we'll explore the impact of enslavement on our lives while also celebrating our strengths prior to it and the joy we still possess despite "all the things."
We note, as stated by Ayi Kwei Armah, "Endless our struggle must seem to those whose vision reaches only to the end of today. But those with ears connected to our soul will hear a message calling us to a better life, to a life closer to the ancient way, to a preparation for the best, the only living way."
Let's remember, reclaim and restore the truth of our wholenss as people of African ancestry. We deserve the repair owed to us. Whatcha think?
